The graduate programs leading to the MSc and Ph.D. programs in primary science education emphasize educational research and practice in primary years. The program has 5 professors, 4 associate professors, 1 assistant professor and 3 research assistants, also 40 students in master’s program and 15 students in doctoral program. The programs mainly aim to motivate students for more advanced graduate work in the field, meanwhile encouraging them to develop skills of doing scientific research.
The language of instruction is Turkish. The program consists at least of eight compulsory and elective courses, seminars, as well as specialization courses to be taken each semester, the preliminary examination and thesis studies, provided that they are not less than 240 ECTS credits.
There are elective and compulsory courses in the program. The compulsory courses for the PhD program are Quantitative Approaches in Educational Research and Qualitative Approaches in Educational Research. Elective course list is updated for each semester.
