AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

Psychological Counselling and Guidance Phd Program has two main objectives. First, it is aimed to provide candidates with cognitive competence, affective traits, and behavioral skills related to research methodology. The second is to have the knowledge of counselling theories, personality theories, individual-group counseling principles and tehniques, and behavior disorders in the field of Psychological Counselling and Guidance and to gain the ability to internalize this information in a unique structure and use it in the appropriate place and time. In addition, the level of readiness in relation to the subject that the candidate will focus on during the doctoral education process in the same field is increased. In addition, it is aimed to provide the student with the ability to conduct independent research, to interpret scientific events with a broad and deep perspective and to determine the necessary steps to reach new syntheses. The thesis, which will be prepared at the end of doctoral studies, must fulfill one of the qualities of bringing innovation to science, developing a new scientific method, and applying a known method to a new field.
